From personal experience, I've noticed Antares' formant pitching sounds a lot cleaner. Whenever I used pitcher's formant shifting it sounded a bit odd and cracky (popped and cracked), but that could be my computer. Also a vibrato function and the humanize function. Now I haven't explored fully what Antares can do, but there are definitely more options, from humanize to vibrato to formant shifting to a visual of the notes (graph mode) to formant shifting with vibrato to 'Auto-key'. But to me the biggest thing is when I use it my vocals sound cleaner and more accurate (on pitch). Now maybe that's just me spending a decent amount of money, so I subconsciously make myself hear a difference, but I doubt it.

I would definitely vouch for a difference in quality of sound. The only downside is you lose a USB port due to the iLok.
Other than that all I see are pros. I would definitely recommend Antares Autotune to anyone that is debating on whether or not they should get it, however it isn't necessary to make quality vocals.
